Question: I have two SMSFs. I want to close one down. Can I transfer my shares from one to the other with a white transfer form?
Answer: Yes, you can use a standard transfer form. If your shares are broker sponsored, then you will probably need to engage your broker to do this.
One word of caution: if your SMSFs have different trustees and the members of the SMSFs are different, then a transfer may constitute a disposal for CGT purposes. This may not be an issue if your funds are in pension mode, but if in accumulation, tax may be payable. You may want to get advice on any tax aspects before proceeding with any transfer.
Question: I have owned Collection House (CLH) for a few years. Do you think there is a chance the price will recover or is it a sell?
Answer: There is always the chance that the price of Collection House (CLH) will recover, because it is fundamentally cheap (multiple of around 9 times FY17 earnings, div yield circa 6%)
However, a company that it having to forensically review its capitalized software suggests that Management may not be fully on top of what is going on.
I also don’t like the industry.
Brokers are neutral – one hold/one sell, target price $1.25.
Not a stock I would own, so would be leaning towards a sell.
