There has been a little bit of noise about Telstra i.e. its not going to do very well from now on driving forward and the dividend is not going to go up.
My elderly mother was rung up and urged to sell as the broker considered she had a high %. What is going on? They have cut staff and moved more services to Philippines? Bonuses can’t be paid as the direct response from customers can’t be assessed? This is all I know and its a month of paying the dividend. Best wishes,
A: I don’t think there is anything to worry about.
As an organization, they are trimming costs, and they have had some service difficulties.
However, the dividend is secure.
Medium term, I think other shares will deliver more growth – so I don’t think there is an enormous amount of upside in Telstra around $5.70.
