Transfield secures defence contracts worth $130 million

Transfield Services has secured $130 million in work with the defence industry.

The maintenance and management services company on Friday said it had won a new contract worth $90 million over three years with the Department of Defence to comprehensive provide maintenance services.

The work will include base support services at the defence establishment at Woomera, South Australia.

The contract had extension options of up to three years worth up to $75 million, Transfield said.

Transfield has also extended an existing five-year contract with Defence Support Group to provide garrison support services to more than 35 sites across Western Australia.

The one-year extension is worth $40 million to Transfield.
