Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Wednesday, Oct 15:

CTX – CALTEX – up 18 cents, or 0.6 per cent, at $28.24

Caltex Australia’s 58-year-old Sydney oil refinery at Kurnell is now officially closed with the last of its operations shut down.

OZL – OZ MINERALS – up 28 cents, or 7.6 per cent, at $3.95

Oz Minerals shares have shot up as the company says it’s on track to meet its production guidance after lifting quarterly copper and gold output.

PBG – PACIFIC BRANDS – up 0.5 cents, or 1.1 per cent, at 44.5 cents

The company behind Bonds and Berlei underwear is facing more bleak times ahead.

TLS – TELSTRA – up five cents, or 0.95 per cent, at $5.29

Disgruntled Telstra shareholders say they got a raw deal out of the telco’s $1 billion share buyback.

WTF – WOTIF.COM – down 25 cents, or 7.6 per cent, at $3.04

The $700 million foreign takeover of Wotif.com has been delayed by a New Zealand regulator.
