AOH – ALTONA – up 4.5 cents, or 26.47 per cent, at 21.5 cents

ELD – ELDERS – steady at 22.5 cents

Agribusiness Elders appears is attracting interest from potential buyers amid signs the company has finally turned a corner after a painful six years for its shareholders.

QAN – QANTAS AIRWAYS – steady at $1.26

Qantas is cutting 167 jobs from its engineering division as part of the embattled airline’s ongoing turnaround plan.

TRS – THE REJECT SHOP – up 23 cents, or 2.4 per cent at $9.81

Discount retailer The Reject Shop has appointed former brewery chief Ross Sudano as its new chief executive.

UGL – UGL – up eight cents, or 1.12 per cent, at $7.22

UGL chairman Trevor Rowe will retire from the engineering and property services company in October after more than a decade at the helm.
