Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Tuesday, July 14:

ANZ – ANZ BANKING GROUP – down 35 cents, or 1.1 per cent, at $31.90

CBA – COMMONWEALTH BANK – down 61 cents, or 0.7 per cent, at $85.18

NAB – NATIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK – down 19 cents, or 0.6 per cent, at $32.88

WBC – WESTPAC BANKING CORPORATION – down 14 cents, or 0.4 per cent, at $32.96

Australian banks will need to raise billions of dollars in new capital over the next few years, but analysts say the big four lenders have scored a win with the banking regulator.

MAH – MACMAHON HOLDINGS – up 0.2 cents, or 2.9 per cent, ay 7.2 cents

Troubled mining services company Macmahon Holdings has promoted chief financial officer Sybrandt van Dyk to chief executive.

MIR – MIRRABOOKA – up four cents, or 1.5 per cent, at $2.75

Investment firm Mirrabooka’s annual profit has slipped nine per cent amid major changes to its share portfolio.

VAH – VIRGIN AUSTRALIA – steady at 43.5 cents

QAN – QANTAS AIRWAYS – up 12 cents, or 3.6 per cent, at $3.45

Jetstar will resume daytime flights to and from Bali on Monday afternoon, but stranded Australians travelling with Virgin Australia will wait longer to get home.
