Stocks of interest on the Australian Securities Exchange on Tuesday:

ARI – ARRIUM – down one cent, or 6.25 per cent, at 15.00 cents

Mining and materials group Arrium it set to post an even larger full year loss after flagging another $320 million impairment hit on top of the $1.3 billion in impairments announced in January.

MTS – METCASH – up 2.5 cents, or 1.3 per cent, at $1.13

Metcash has posted a $384 million full year loss and announced the sale of its automotive division to Burson Group for $275 million as it tries to shore up its grocery division against intense competition.

OTH – ONTHEHOUSE – uop 5.5 cents, or 9.4 per cent, at 64 cents

Former domain.com.au manager Chris Meehan has been named chief executive officer of online real estate site Onthehouse.

SHL – SONIC HEALTHCARE – up 27 cents, or 1.34 per cent, at $20.40

Pathology and radiology provider Sonic Healthcare is continuing to expand in Europe, acquiring Swiss medical laboratory group Medisupport in a cash-and-shares deal worth a total of 327.5 million Swiss francs ($AUD455.3 million).

TEN – TEN NETWORK – down 0.5 cents, or 1.89 per cent, 26.00 cents

Foxtel will take a stake of up to 15 per cent in Ten Network as part of a move expected to raise $154 million for the struggling free to air network.
