Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Monday:

ANZ – ANZ BANKING GROUP LTD – up 17 cents at $21.05

Late fees charged on credit cards by ANZ can be characterised as a penalty and may be unenforceable, the Federal Court has found.

However, honour fees, dishonour fees, overlimit fees and non-payment fees were not characterised as a penalty but as fees for services provided by the bank, Justice Michelle Gordon found in a judgment released on Monday.

ERA – ENERGY RESOURCES OF AUSTRALIA LTD – up 14 cents at $1.57

PDN – PALADIN ENERGY LTD – up four cents at $1.71
