Stocks of interest on the Australian Securities Exchange on Tuesday:

BSL – BLUESCOPE STEEL – down 78 cents, or 12.8 per cent, at $5.32

BlueScope Steel has lifted its underlying profit and expects higher profit margins to provide a further boost to its earnings.

CTX – CALTEX AUSTRALIA – up $1.90, or 7.4 per cent, at $27.45

Fuel supplier Caltex will cut 350 jobs over the next 12 months as part of a restructure of the business, after it lifted its first half net profit by one per cent to $173 million.

BLY – BOART LONGYEAR – up 0.5 cents, or 2.63 per cent, at 19.5 cents

Mining services company Boart Longyear issues its half year results on Tuesday.

PBG – PACIFIC BRANDS – steady at 57 cents

The maker of Bonds underwear, Pacific Brands, releases its full year earnings.

SCG – SCENTRE GROUP – down one cent, or 0.3 per cent, at $3.55

Westfield shopping centre empire spin-off, Scentre, issues its half year results.

VRT – VIRTUS HEALTH – down 18 cents, or 2.2 per cent, at $8.01

Fertility services company, Virtus Health releases its full year earnings.
