Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange early on Tuesday:

ADE – ADELAIDE ENERGY LTD – up six cents at 20 cents

BPT – BEACH ENERGY LTD – up 2.5 cents at $1.225

South Australian-based Beach Energy has launched a $94 million take-over offer for Adelaide Energy.

AGO – ATLAS IRON LTD – last traded at $3.09

Atlas Iron is due to hold its AGM on Tuesday.

CBA – COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA – last traded at $49.32

CBA is due to hold its AGM on Tuesday.

CPU – COMPUTERSHARE LTD – up $1.14 at $8.44

Shares in Computershare have soared by over 15 per cent as its largest-ever acquisition finally obtained United States anti-trust clearance.

DMP – DOMINO’S PIZZA ENTERPRISES LTD – up two cents at $7.14

Domino’s Pizza says it will open up to 40 new stores and create more than 2,500 jobs over the next six months.

GFF – GOODMAN FIELDER LTD – up 1.5 cents at 55 cents

Bread and spreads maker Goodman Fielder has refinanced a $500 million multi-currency syndicated loan facility.

IAG – INSURANCE AUSTRALIA GROUP LTD – steady at $3.13

Insurance Australia Group (IAG) is going ahead with an offer of up to $NZ150 million ($A115.68 million) of unsecured subordinated bonds to the New Zealand public.

ORI – ORICA LTD – up $1.11 at $25.41

Explosives maker and mining services supplier Orica says it could offload its specialty bolts and chemicals business, Minova, unless the business improves.

QAN – QANTAS AIRWAYS LTD – down 0.5 cents at $1.61

The Qantas engineers’ union says it is sick of the company’s human resources (HR) managers telling them how to do their job as negotiations resume for the first time since the airline was grounded.

RMS – RAMELIUS RESOURCES LTD – down 10 cents at $1.20

Shares in Ramelius Resources eased after the gold miner announced a modestly discounted issue of new shares to raise up to $55 million.
