COK – COCKATOO COAL LTD – up 4.5 cents at 41 cents

A South Korean firm plans to increase its stake in Australian coal miner Cockatoo Coal.

CXM – CENTREX METALS LTD – up 0.5 cents at 30 cents

A Chinese steel maker and Australian iron ore explorer have extended their joint venture with plans to develop South Australia’s first port capable of handling large Cape-size ships.

DMP – DOMINO’S PIZZA ENTERPRISES LTD – down three cents at $8.37

Domino’s says it has more than 1,000 new jobs to fill nationwide, so it can satisfy a recent technology-led surge in demand for pizza.

GNC – GRAINCORP LTD – up 34 cents at $8.44

Commodities giant Glencore International has reportedly bid $5.2 billion for Graincorp’s Canadian rival Viterra, sparking speculation a bid may be made for Graincorp.

PDN – PALADIN ENERGY LTD – up 5.5 cents at $1.84

Paladin Energy can now start exploring its Canadian assets, after a three-year moratorium on uranium mining was lifted by indigenous landowners.

QAN – QANTAS AIRWAYS LTD – down 2.5 cents at $1.655

Maintenance workers employed by a Qantas contractor have started picketing the domestic terminal at Brisbane airport over a wages dispute.

SGP – STOCKLAND – down three cents at $3.05

Property firm Stockland has acquired control over another of Townsville’s major shopping centres, buying the Centro Townsville shopping centre for $36.5 million.
