EDS: Reissues to correct day reference

SYDNEY, Dec 8 AAP – Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Thursday:

ANZ – ANZ BANKING GROUP LTD – up 25 cents at $21.24

CBA – COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA – up 47 cents at $50.17

NAB – NATIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK LTD – up 12 cents at $24.40

WBC – WESTPAC BANKING CORPORATION – up 15 cents at $21.61

The big four banks said their interest rates were under review after the Reserve Bank of Australia’s (RBA) 25 basis point interest rate cut on Tuesday.

BOQ – BANK OF QUEENSLAND LTD – up 19 cents at $8.13

BEN – BENDIGO AND ADELAIDE BANK LTD – up 26 cents at $9.60

AMP – AMP LTD – up five cents at $4.32

SUN – SUNCORP GROUP LTD – up 11 cents at $8.49

More Australian banks have had their credit ratings altered by Standard & Poor’s as the agency changes its criteria for assessing banks.

ATI – ATLANTIC LTD – down five cents at $1.15

Vanadium miner Atlantic will issue new shares to raise $25 million to help accelerate the ramp-up of its Windimurra mine in Western Australia.

ORI – ORICA LTD – up three cents at $25.88

Another leak has occurred at the Orica chemical plant near Newcastle.

TPM – TPG TELECOM LTD – down one cent at $1.41

TPG Telecom has maintained earnings guidance for fiscal 2012.

TTN – TITAN ENERGY SERVICES LTD – down five cents at 95 cents

Oil and gas services company Titan Energy Services made a negative debut on the Australian stock exchange.
