Stocks to watch at open on Tuesday

Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange at the open on Tuesday:

ANN – ANSELL – up $1.24, or 5.4 per cent, at $24.30

Protective gloves and condom maker Ansell has lifted its first half profit almost 34 per cent after increasing sales strongly across its divisions.

AVJ – AVJENNINGS – up 1.5 cents, or 2.4 per cent, at 64 cents

House and land packages group AV Jennings has lifted its first half profit by 42 per cent and expects even more contracts to be signed than previously forecast.

CZZ- CAPILANO – up 70 cents, or 8.75 per cent, at $8.70

Capilano has lifted its first half net profit by 73 per cent after it sold more honey overseas and benefited from higher local prices.

FXJ – FAIRFAX MEDIA – down 8.5 cents, or 8.85 per cent, at 87.5 cents

US-based news website The Huffington Post has signed a deal with Fairfax Media to launch an Australia edition, while major shareholder Gina Rinehart has sold her near 15 per cent stake in Fairfax.

LOV – LOVISA – up four cents, or 1.7 per cent, at $2.40

Jewellery retailer Lovisa has reaffirmed its full year earnings guidance after lifting first half profit by two thirds.
