Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Monday, March 9:

AGO – ATLAS IRON – down one cent, or 5.7 per cent, at 16.5 cents

ARI – ARRIUM – down one cent, or 4.9 per cent, at 19.5 cents

BCI – BC IRON – down 2.5 cents, or 5.4 per cent, at 43.5 cents

BHP – BHP BILLITON – down 52 cents, or 1.6 per cent, at $32.64

FMG – FORTESCUE METALS – down 14 cents, or 6.1 per cent, at $2.15

RIO – RIO TINTO – down 76 cents, or 1.2 per cent, at $60.39

The iron ore sector is weaker after the price of iron ore fell, with one trading price in China dropping below $US60, its lowest level in almost six years.

RRL – REGIS RESOURCES – down 51 cents, or 26.7 per cent, at $1.40

Shares in gold miner Regis Resources have plummeted after the company said annual production will be at the lower end of its target range.

TAH – TABCORP – down 26 cents, or 5.3 per cent, at $4.62

Gaming firm Tabcorp has completed the retail component of its offer of new shares to existing investors, with new shares not bought by shareholders sold off to institutional investors.
