Stocks of interest on the Australian Securities Exchange on Monday

ANZ – AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND BANKING GROUP – down 35 cents, or 1.07 per cent, at $32.39

ANZ made a cash profit of $5.2 billion for the nine months to June 30, an increase of eight per cent.

BHP – BHP BILLITON – up 89 cents, or 2.33 per cent, at $39.05

Mining giant BHP Billiton appears set to establish a separate $20 billion company comprising its aluminium, bauxite and nickel assets.

NAB – NATIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK LTD – up nine cents, or 0.26 per cent, at $34.69

National Australia Bank will issue its third quarter trading update on Monday.

AZJ – AURIZON HOLDINGS LTD – up two cents, or 0.4 per cent, at $5.03

Rail freight company Aurizon will release its full year results on Monday.

ANN – ANSELL LTD – down six cents, or 0.3 per cent, at $18.99

Gloves and condom maker Ansell to issue its full year results.

NCM – NEWCREST MINING LTD – down eight cents, or 0.7 per cent, at $11.20

Australia’s largest gold miner Newcrest will issue its full year results.

AAD – ARDENT LEISURE GROUP – up six cents, or 2.2 per cent, at $2.80

Theme park and Goodlife gym owner Ardent Leisure to release full year results
