Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Monday, June 2:

DJS – DAVID JONES – up six cents, or 1.51 per cent, to $4.04

Billionaire Premier Investments chairman Solomon Lew has taken a small stake in David Jones, potentially complicating a takeover deal for the department store chain.

REA – REA GROUP – down three cents, or 0.07 per cent, at $45.52

Online real estate lister REA Group has struck a deal with China’s largest property website in a bid to capture more Chinese investors.

WDC – WESTFIELD GROUP – down 15 cents, or 1.38 per cent, to $10.70

WRT – WESTFIELD RETAIL TRUST – down five cents, or 1.54 per cent, at $3.19.

A vote on shopping centre giant Westfield’s controversial plan to split the company is to be held within a fortnight.
