Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange at noon on Tuesday:

AFJ – AFFINITY EDUCATION – in trading halt, last traded at $1.34

Affinity Education is shelling out $80 million for 51 child care and education centres.

CAB – CABCHARGE – down 23 cents, or 5.62 per cent, at $3.86

Shares in taxi payments company Cabcharge have fallen as a change to surcharges in NSW is set to cut its income by $14 million.

FMS – FLINDERS MINES – down 0.2 cents, or 7.41 per cent, at 2.5 cents

RMS – RAMELIUS RESOURCES – down 0.5 cents, or 4.17 per cent, at 11.5 cents

Prospective iron ore miner Flinders Mines has appointed the head of gold miner Ramelius Resources as its new managing director.

TWE – TREASURY WINE ESTATES – up 23 cents, or 6.37 per cent, at $3.84

The new chief executive of Treasury Wine Estates (TWE), Michael Clarke, has no emotional attachment to any part of the business except for the top luxury brand: Penfolds.
