Stocks of interest on the Australian Securities Exchange on Friday:

ALL – ARISTOCRAT LEISURE – down 13 cents, or 1.75 per cent, at $7.31

Gaming company Aristocrat Leisure hold its annual general meeting on Friday.

HVN – Harvey Norman – down five cents, or 1.14 per cent, at $4.35

Household goods and electronics retailer Harvey Norman releases its half year results.

KCN – KINGSGATE CONSOLIDATED – trading halt, last traded at 79 cents

Kingsgate Consolidated’s Chatree gold mine in central Thailand has been cleared to restart operations after it shut down in January after more than 200 local villagers were found to have arsenic and manganese contamination in their blood.

NEC – NINE ENTERTAINMENT – up 17.5 cents, or 9.4 per cent, at $2.03

Nine Entertainment has tripled its half year profit and announced a $150 million share buyback.

QAN – QANTAS AIRWAYS – up four cents, or 1.4 per cent, at $2.85

Qantas has swung back into profit, beating its own forecasts and bouncing back from losses of almost $3 billion.

RHC – RAMSAY HEALTHCARE – up $2.32, or 3.6 per cent, at $66.42

The head of Australia’s biggest private hospitals operator says he expects health cover to continue to rise indefinitely by more than inflation and that Australians can afford the hikes.

SYD – SYDNEY AIRPORT – down 18 cents, or 3.5 per cent, at $5.00

Sydney Airport chief executive Kerrie Mather expects the number of Chinese visitors to Australia to soar in the coming years, particularly from regional cities.

TWE – TREASURY WINE ESTATES – down three cents, or 0.55 per cent, at $5.43

Treasury Wine Estates, the owner of Penfolds, Wolf Blass and Lindeman’s, half year results are due out.

WOW – WOOLWORTHS – down 40 cents, or 1.16 per cent, at $33.95

Supermarket giant Woolworths releases its half year results.
