Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Friday, July 11:

ALZ – AUSTRALAND – steady at $4.47

The planned foreign takeover of property group Australand is one step closer, after Australian authorities approved the $2.6 billion deal.

ERA – ENERGY RESOURCES OF AUSTRALIA – down 4.5 cents, or 3.72 per cent, at $1.165

Shares in Energy Resources of Australia (ERA) have fallen after the miner revealed it produced no uranium during the recent June quarter.

GNC – GRAINCORP – up seven cents, or 0.83 per cent, at $8.53

Grains marketer GrainCorp has bought a 10 per cent stake in one of its largest customers, an Egyptian flour miller.

PRR – PRIMA BIOMED – steady, at 4.2 cents

Cancer drug developer Prima Biomed has appointed Marc Voigt as its new chief executive.

TCL – TRANSURBAN – up three cents, or 0.4 per cent, at $7.58

Toll road owner Transurban has lifted revenue more than 13 per cent, thanks to strong growth on its Sydney network.
