Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Thursday, Sept 13

CBA – COMMONWEALTH BANK OF AUSTRALIA – up 88 cents, or 1.62 per cent, at $55.06

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) has raised $1.5 billion from institutional investors in its latest hybrid offer.

CSS – CLEANSEAS TUNA LTD – up 0.4 cents, or 25 per cent, at two cents

Clean Seas Tuna is shrinking its workforce by about half and selling surplus boats as it grapples with the problems reduced stocks because of the sick Yellowtail Kingfish.

MGR – MIRVAC GROUP – up two cents, or 1.41 per cent, at $1.435

Property developer Mirvac Group’s new chief executive Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz will start work in the top job in early November.

TRS – THE REJECT SHOP LTD – up five cents, or 0.4 per cent, at $12.55

Discount retailer The Reject Shop has finalised a $27.4 million insurance claim for flood damage to its distribution centre in Queensland.
