AQA – AQUILA RESOURCES LTD – down eight cents at $2.32

Shares in Aquila Resources fell more than three per cent on Friday after the company said it could reduce its costs by $2.4 billion.

CKF – COLLINS FOODS LTD – up two cents at $1.29

KFC and Sizzler franchisee, Collins Foods, expects sales growth to continue into the second half of fiscal 2013 despite estimating it would spend about $2.5 million on the carbon tax.

LYC – LYNAS CORPORATION – down 3.5 cents at 64 cents

Rare earths miner Lynas Corporation has announced the first feed to kiln and commencement of operations are under way at its controversial advanced materials plant in Malaysia.

MTS – METCASH – down eight cents at $3.43

Grocery wholesaler Metcash has downgraded earnings guidance as the ongoing supermarket food war has forced down prices, resulting in a weaker first half profit.

PRY – PRIMARY HEALTH CARE – down one cent at $4.00

Medical centre operator Primary Health Care remains on track to lift earnings by up to 25 per cent in the 2012/13 financial year.

SDL – SUNDANCE RESOURCES – steady at 39 cents

Hanlong Mining’s proposed takeover of Sundance Resources could be completed by Christmas after turmoil on financial markets forced the Sundance board to curb its price and timetable for the transaction.
