Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange at noon on Tuesday:

TEN – TEN NETWORK HOLDINGS – up one cent, or 3.4 per cent, at 30.5 cents

Ten has posted a $243.3 million first half loss, its results dragged down by one-off redundancy, termination and impairment costs.

SDL – SUNDANCE RESOURCES – down 9.25 cents, or 44 per cent, to 11.75 cents

Shares in Sundance Resources have plunged by more than 50 per cent after the collapse of its $1.3 billion takeover deal with China’s Hanlong Mining.

EGP – ECHO ENTERTAINMENT – up 10 cents, or 2.8 per cent, at $3.71

The NSW government is considering plans by Sydney’s Star casino operator, Echo Entertainment, that would see it extend its monopoly licence beyond 2019.

AWC – ALUMINA – up 6.75 cents, or 6.7 per cent, at $1.0725

Alumina’s US-based joint venture partner Alcoa has reported a 59 per cent rise in earnings, signalling improved conditions in the aluminium industry.
