JBH – JB HI-FI – up 60 cents, or 3.2 per cent, at $19.12
JB Hi-Fi has defied a difficult trading environment to lift sales and profit, and expects the trend to continue for the next 12 months.

Building products maker James Hardie expects profit to be steady as housing conditions in the United States and Australia improve.

Australia’s largest gold miner Newcrest Mining has reported an annual net loss of $5.78 billion for the 12 months to June 30.
