Optus, Virgin sign $60m comms deal

Optus has struck a $60 million deal to provide telecommunications and other services over five years to airline Virgin Australia.

Optus said on Wednesday that the domestic and international telecommunication services for the airline would be delivered over Optus’ managed data network.

Virgin Australia chief information officer Lawrie Turner said the deal was a significant step in the transformation of Virgin Australia’s technology delivery.
