The share market is slightly lower at noon weighed down by resource stocks.
Lower commodity prices saw BHP Billiton lose 22 cents to $24.01 while rival Rio Tinto was also off by 16 cents to $52.62.
However energy companies Oil Search and Woodside were in the green while Santos shares surged more than 20 per cent in morning trade after revealing it had rejected a $7.1 billion takeover bid.
The banks had edged lower with ANZ the worst performer, off by more than half a per cent.
