The National Broadbank Network has awarded another $334 million of work to Leighton Holdings company Visionstream.

Visionstream’s role will include passive fibre network design and construction to bring high speed, fibre optic broadband to Melbourne, Brisbane and southern NSW.

The two-year contract contains options to increase it to a value of $1 billion, the company said.

Visionstream has won numerous other contracts involving the NBN, including remediation work on Telstra’s ageing infrastructure and building the fixed wireless network.
