Australian shares open lower

The Australian share market has opened lower.

At 1010 AEDT on Wednesday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 11.5 points, or 0.22 per cent, at 5,132.1, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 10.6 points, or 0.21 per cent, at 5,135.6.

On the ASX 24, the December share price index futures contract was down 12 points at 5,135, with 9,118 contracts traded.
