Australian shares open higher

The Australian share market has opened more than a quarter of a per cent higher.

At 1010 AEDT on Friday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 15.1 points, or 0.29 per cent, at 5,124.3, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 14.7 points, or 0.29 per cent, at 5,137.8.

On the ASX 24, the March share price index futures contract was up 12 points at 5,123, with 5,071 contracts traded.
