The Australian market looks set to open flat despite strong gains on Wall Street, after Federal Reserve chair Janet Yellen said unemployment was still a big factor in the US economy’s recovery.
At 6.45am today (AEDT), the June share price index futures contract was up four points at 5,397.
Locally, the Reserve Bank of Australia holds its monthly board meeting to make its interest rate decision today.
At the close yesterday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 27.9 points, or 0.52 per cent, at 5,394.8 points, while the All Ordinaries added 26.2 points, or 0.49 per cent, to end on 5,403 points.
