Aust shares open 1% higher

The Australian share market has opened one per cent higher.

At 1010 AEDT on Monday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 53.0 points, or 1.00 per cent, at 5,357.3, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 51.7 points, or 0.98 per cent, at 5,343.8.

On the ASX 24, the December share price index futures contract was up 55 points at 5,363, with 11,660 contracts traded.
