Aust shares close higher

The Australian share market has closed higher, with the miners and energy players rebounding off recent losses.

At the close on Thursday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 32.7 points, or 0.63 per cent, higher at 5,230, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 35.2 points, or 0.67 per cent, at 5,265.6.

On the ASX 24, the December share price index futures contract was 37 points higher at 5,211, with 26,520 contracts traded.
