Aust shares close lower

The Australian share market has closed lower, with a positive GDP print unable to save it from its third straight session in the red.

At the close on Wednesday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 52.4 points, or 0.93 per cent, lower at 5,583.6, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 51.6 points, or 0.91 per cent, at 5,588.3, according to preliminary figures.

On the ASX 24, the June share price index futures contract was 39 points lower at 5,584, with 35,320 contracts traded.
