Aussie shares close lower

The share market has closed lower for a fourth straight session, with miners and banks the worst performers.

At the close on Friday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was down 11.4 points, or 0.22 per cent, at 5,219.6, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 10.5 points, or 0.2 per cent, at 5,196.9, according to preliminary figures.

On the ASX 24, the December share price index futures contract was 21 points lower at 5,211, with 25,942 contracts traded.
