Aussie shares close higher

The Australian share market has closed higher, marking four straight sessions finishing in positive territory.

At the close on Friday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 16.8 points, or 0.32 per cent, higher at 5,271.7, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 15.8 points, or 0.3 per cent, at 5,260.1, according to preliminary figures.

On the ASX 24, the December share price index futures contract was 22 points higher at 5,253, with 31,295 contracts traded.
