Aussie shares close flat as investors wait for Jackson Hole speech

Australian shares have finished flat as all eyes turn to a meeting of central bankers in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

At the close on Friday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 0.4 points, or 0.01 per cent, at 4,316.1, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 1.2 points, or 0.02 per cent, at 4,339.0.

On the ASX 24, the September share price index futures contract was flat at 4,305 with 27,139 contracts traded.
