Another fall for Aussie shares

The share market has closed lower due to growing weakness in the dominant mining and financial sectors.

At the close on Thursday, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was down 28.2 points, or 0.51 per cent, at 5,5546.1, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 27.5 points, or 0.49 per cent, at 5,546.9, according to preliminary figures.

On the ASX 24, the September share price index futures contract was 30 points lower at 5,547, with 28,716 contracts traded.
