The Australian dollar has risen a quarter of a US cent after the release of economic growth data.

Gross domestic product (GDP) grew by 0.6 per cent in the June quarter, in line with economists’ expectations, according to figures released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics at 1130 AEST.

At 1133 AEST, the Australia dollar was worth 90.79 US cents, up from 90.52 US cents just before the data was released.
