Beneficiaries of Amazon’s Arrival

With the arrival of Amazon I would expect shipping companies to be a major beneficiary. I owned Toll before the takeover but it is no longer Australian owned.

Are there any ASX listed companies that could benefit? Are there any other areas may benefit from the arrival of Amazon?

Thank you.

Healthscope (HSO)

During the past few months I have seen both Buy and Sell Broker Recommendations in relation to Healthscope (HSO).

Such divergence is confusing for Investors, hence I would like your analysis/view as to whether this would be a worthy stock to hold as one of approx twenty stocks in a SMSF with a long term (15 years plus) growth view.

I’m thinking Healthcare is a longer term growth sector and I will allocate approx 15% of my portfolio to Healthcare. Alas I think I’ve missed to boat with Ramsay etc in relation to growth. I read the financial press daily and I am in a position to monitor future HSO announcements and performance.

Achieving a Diversified Portfolio

I am 55 years old and have a share portfolio less than $100K. I’m not a stock market guru so I look for guidance in the Switzer Report and other journals to help me decide what stocks to buy/sell. I’m aware that diversifying your shares across a number of sectors is important to have for a balanced portfolio.

Is something like the “Nifty 15” Charlie wrote about in 2015 such a diversification? Do you have your own list?

What sectors we should invest in the Australian market and possibly overseas for a well balanced portfolio?
