SWTZ Dividend Dates

When are the ex dividend dates for SWTZ? The last date I had was 14th July, but on Commsec it is showing that today (7th July) they are trading ex-dividend.

Telstra

Last year I bought TLS shares following a good recommendation from Charlie Aitken. I initially paid near $6.00 per share. As you would know the bottom fell out of TLS share price with news of a new carrier.

I took the opportunity to buy more and have been able to average down the cost to $5.00 per share. I am still losing around 13% on my holdings of $280,000, which I know is too much for my portfolio. I would, however, prefer to keep them until such a time when and if they reach the upwards of $5.00 per share.

Any thoughts?

La Trobe

I was reading your article ‘The best rate on cash and term deposits’.

What are your thoughts on La Trobe offering 5.2% on 12 months term account? La Trobe is recommended by Lonsec and wanted to know if this is a safe investment.

Thank you

Earnings Forecast

I am a new subscriber to Switzer. In the article – Buy Sell Hold – what the brokers say, there is a table that shows positive and negative changes covered by more than 2 brokers, the New EF and Previous EF – what does the EF stand for?

Beneficiaries of Amazon’s Arrival

With the arrival of Amazon I would expect shipping companies to be a major beneficiary. I owned Toll before the takeover but it is no longer Australian owned.

Are there any ASX listed companies that could benefit? Are there any other areas may benefit from the arrival of Amazon?

Thank you.
