I read with interest Paul Rickard’s editorial on the hybrids market and specifically his mention of the secondary market.
In your view, just how good an investment is the hybrid market? Do the longer term risks outweigh any short term comfort of a dividend yield? They seem to be very heavily weighted in terms of discretion to convert at the whim of the issuer.
Do you see them overall as a good risk/reward investment?
