The share market has closed higher, breaking a run of four straight losses, as the resources sector bounced back from its recent hit from falling commodity prices.
At the close on Tuesday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 30.9 points, or 0.55 per cent, at 5,607.9, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 29.7 points, or 0.53 per cent, at 5,608.6, according to preliminary figures.
On the ASX 24, the September share price index futures contract was 21 points higher at 5,602, with 17,921 contracts traded.
