We’ve made some minor changes to our portfolios for 2024 to take into account the dominant investment themes we expect to apply. We’ve also rebalanced the portfolios.

We’ve made some minor changes to our portfolios for 2024 to take into account the dominant investment themes we expect to apply. We’ve also rebalanced the portfolios.
Leaving the major banks to one side, here are five stocks to consider for 2024. They are from five different sectors which provides support to diversification objectives.
With my super pension, do I have to make a withdrawal every month? Should I cut my losses on rare earths miner Hastings Technology Metals? What do the broker analysts say about REA Group? Should I vote in favour of the proposal to delist NB Global Corporate Income Trust?
In this article, I look at tax issues, road testing a kid’s bank accounts, buying shares and insurance bonds and how to surprise your grandchildren on Christmas Day!
What should I do with my Perpetual shares following the announcement of a takeover? What do the major brokers think of IDP Education? I have just found out that my Sunland shares have been delisted……what can I do? How can I track the lithium spot price?
In this article, I look at how our two model portfolios have performed so far in 2023. To do so, we will start by examining how the overall market has fared. Let me add that both portfolios are now firmly in the black.
Why is Metrics Master Income Trust doing an institutional placement? How is the monthly CPI different to the quarterly CPI? Are you still fans of Xero? When calculating your super balance for an account based pension, should you include the franking credits that have been accrued but not yet received?
Accounting software provider Xero is one of my favourite tech stocks. But does its failure to substantially penetrate the USA market mean that it is too expensive?
Should I re-invest into the Westpac Capital Notes 10 offer? Is there anything wrong if I just invest my portfolio in exchange traded funds (ETFs)? If NAB is paying a dividend yield that is 5 times higher than CSL, and trading on a much lower PE, why is CSL “the one”? What are the details of the Appen capital raising?
Bank reporting season was somewhat underwhelming and with banks struggling to grow profits, an underweight position might be the go for those investors focussed on growth.
