Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange on Tuesday, Feb 3:

ARG – ARGO INVESTMENTS – down one cent, or 0.13 per cent, to $7.98

MELBOURNE – A growing divergence between the United States and other developed countries has created a volatile investment environment, says investment fund Argo Investments.

JBH – JB HI-FI – up 30.0 cents, or 1.79 per cent, to $17.05

JB Hi-Fi has reported a small slide in its first half profit amid declining same-store sales.

KMD – KATHMANDU – down 51.5 cents, or 27.54 per cent, to $1.355

Shares in outdoor clothing retailer Kathmandu have dived more than 20 per cent after it said weaker-than-expected sales would see it post a first half loss.

TCL – TRANSURBAN – up nine cents, or 0.98 per cent, to $9.30

Tollway operator Transurban expects construction of a new $2.9 billion road tunnel in Sydney’s north to start early this year.

WBC – WESTPAC BANKING CORP – up 39 cents, or 1.13 per cent, to $34.85

New Westpac Group chief executive Brian Hartzer has announced a shake-up of the bank’s structure on his first day in the job.
