Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange early on Tuesday:

AQA – AQUILA RESOURCES LTD – down four cents at $4.94

Aquila Resources has placed its shares in a trading halt pending an announcement about its producing Isaac Plains Coal Mine.

BOQ – BANK OF QUEENSLAND – in a trading half, last traded at $7.30

Bank of Queensland (BOQ) expects to post a $91 million first half loss because of a large increase in impairments on loans.

CFX – CFS RETAIL PROPERTY TRUST – up two cents at $1.785

CFS Retail Property Trust has sold a 50 per cent stake in Myer’s Brisbane shopping centre to a fellow property investment trust for $366 million.

GNS – GUNNS LTD – shares suspended from trade, last traded at 16 cents.

Woodchipper Gunns Ltd may seek to raise about $400 million via a new capital raising that could involve a placement of shares to new investors.

LEI – LEIGHTON HOLDINGS LTD – up 63 cents at $23.75

Tasmania will be the first state to have its National Broadband Network rollout completed, Premier Lara Giddings has announced.

ORG – ORIGIN LTD – up five cents at $13.15
