Leighton Holdings subsidiary Habtoor Leighton Group has been awarded a $A480 million property redevelopment contract in Dubai in the Middle East.
The contract forms part of the $A3 billion Jewel of the Creek waterside development, and involves the construction and completion of the substructure works for four basement levels and ground floor slabs on a waterside site.
When complete, the contracted work will form part of a multi-use development that includes four and five star hotels, furnished service apartments, a convention centre, a ballroom, office buildings, residential buildings, a marina and landscaping.
Separately, Leighton subsidiary John Holland, has been awarded a $152 million contract for upgrades to 23 kilometres of the Western Highway between Burrumbeet and Trawalla in Victoria.
The scope of works includes the construction of a fully divided four-lane road and a bypass to the south of the Trawalla township.
