The Australian share market has opened nearly one per cent higher.
At 1010 AEST on Friday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 50.2 points, or 0.99 per cent, at 5,111.7, while the broader All Ordinaries index was up 47.8 points, or 0.95 per cent, at 5,094.9.
On the ASX 24, the September share price index futures contract was up 56 points at 5,063, with 6,910 contracts traded.
