The Australian share market has closed slightly lower as the big banks make small gains while the major miners fall.
At the close on Monday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 4.1 points, or 0.08 per cent lower at 4995.4, while the broader All Ordinaries index was down 3.7 points, or 0.07 per cent, at 5,070.1.
On the ASX 24, the June share price index futures contract was one point higher at 4,977, with 25,885 contracts traded.
