Dear %%first_name%%,

It’s so close to Easter that we have kept the Report a little brief today as we have contributors who have taken off for a much-needed break. Saturday’s Report will still be published. Easter Monday and Anzac Day there’ll be a break but you’ll receive your Report on Saturday 27 April.

For today, we have something that I find interesting and a little different. Thematic ETFs are huge in the U.S. but less so here. Investors can choose from obesity ETFs, video game ETFs, biblical ETFs, whiskey ETFs, marijuana ETFs and Millennials ETFs. They offer a diversified entrée to global stocks but in his article today, Tony Featherstone says that investors need to choose carefully.

And in Buy, Hold, Sell – What the Brokers Say, Telstra was upgraded by UBS while Transurban copped a downgrade. Overall, 6 stocks were upgraded and 6 downgraded.

In Questions of the Week, Paul Rickard answers readers’ queries about whether ANZ and NAB will pay dividends before July 1; Discounts for Argo and Milton; And whether it’s time to take profits on resource companies.

And don’t forget to secure your tickets to our Investor Strategy Day. We are full in Sydney now with over 1,100 registrations but there are some tickets available still in Brisbane and Melbourne. Click on the event you would like to attend below:

Have a peaceful day tomorrow. Talk to you Saturday!

Sincerely,

Peter Switzer
