Dear %%first_name%%,
As regular readers know, we recently held our Switzer Listed Investment Conferences around the country, and today I’m writing about some of the interesting, outside-the-square investment ideas that featured at the conference.
Some of the ideas I cover include investing in overseas corporate bonds, an ETF that exposes you to robots and artificial intelligence companies, a fund that goes long natural resources companies and how about a fund that means you can invest in big overseas private equity businesses!
You know I love giving you the best ideas that can make you money, and today you’ll find plenty of that! Not only in my article, we also have four companies under $4 from James Dunn. Sure, it’s a catchy headline but there’s plenty of substance under the bonnet as well!
And Paul Rickard might be on holidays in Europe, but he hasn’t taken his finger off the pulse. He’s sent us an update of his view on Wesfarmers. Back in June, he reviewed the conglomerate and concluded that underlying fundamentals didn’t support its run up then to $48.01. His article today takes a look at whether or not there have been any major changes at the company.
Our bonus article today is a look by Commsec at the trading activities of SMSF investors. The good news is they’re becoming increasingly diverse and sophisticated!
You can also catch more videos of presentations at our SLIC conference last week. We’ve already shared with you the presentations of Platinum founder Kerr Neilson and Investors Mutual founder Anton Tagliaferro – and today it’s Vince Pezzullo, deputy head of equities, at Perpetual, and his views on investing.
Sincerely,

Peter Switzer
